Trends in tourism

The 10th volume of the Journal of Tourism Challenges and Trends proposes an interdisciplinary and dynamic investigation of the complex connections between tourism, society, and economy. The recent evolution of tourism, as well as the trends observable, are tightly connected with the transformation of society and economy, with both global and local evolutions.

Topics that might be approach range from micro-level to macro-level issues. Some suggestions might be:

  • the evolution of tourism and its determinants
  • tourism and digital transformation of business
  • the impact of tourists on host communities
  • managing new needs of tourists
  • the impact of mentality shifts on tourism consumption
  • the influence of world politics on tourism
  • new tools to attract tourists

Nevertheless, the discussions remain open and are not limited by the previous suggestions. Early submission facilitates the inclusion process.
